I am the Space Hand
Subject: DEXTRE, Music: Jimmy Schmitz: First Engineer ISS (additional synth commands: Doctor 30), Lyrics: Tim Donderevo, Vocals: Microsoft Mike
On March 11 2008, I came on line - I activated
A mechanic in space - I pivot at the waist
And maintain the station of international space
With my vice-like grip and grasping jaws
I can replace batteries and open shuttle doors
Flexible and strong - I cruise along
The space-station railway enjoying my job - yeah
I am the space hand - the dexterous appendage of the arm of man
I am am the space claw - maintaining aspects of life-support - yeah
I am the space eye - cameras observing the spacemen inside
I am the space mind - Canadians built me for the good of mankind
My umbilical line provides modular power
My retractable wrench functions hour after hour
A heat-shield protector - I'm a payload inspector
Installing and repairing is my raison d'etre
I move with precision - make robot decisions
And some day I'll be sent on the hubble repair mission
When my test-run is through - my dream may come true
To harmonize with my brother - "Canadarm 2" - oh
I am the space hand - the dexterous appendage of the arm of man
I am am the space claw - maintaining aspects of life-support - yeah
I am the space eye - cameras observing the spacemen inside
I am the space mind - Canadians built me for the good of mankind
I've got to go and fix the International Space Station now - goodbye friends
Friends of every nation - goodbye - goodbye
